Notes When Using Car Navigation in Japan
- Addresses are generally registered in Japanese.

Vehicles without multilingual navigation are generally equipped with device audio (CarPlay or Android Auto).
Please connect your smartphone and make use of it.
Operation While Driving
"Gazing at" (staring at the screen) or operating the navigation system while driving constitutes a violation of the Road Traffic Act and is subject to penalties. (Road Traffic Act Article 71-5-5)
The law specifically penalizes gazing, not the act of operating itself; however, operating may be regarded as gazing and subject to enforcement.
